A:Paul seems to have made no attempt to avoid confronting Peter. In Galatians chapter 2, from verse 11, Paul says that he publicly rebuked Peter for not treating uncircumcised Christians as equals. Their differences seem to have been over Peter's insistence that gentiles could not become Christians without first becoming Jews and his refusal to be seen eating with them.
