AnswerI beleave a kelogram (2.2 lbs) of oil is .56 of a quart. so I would say aprox 4 lbs. Why not put a qt of oil on a bathroom scale and see, see ya.

The answer above is wrong. Motor Oil weighs 1.8 pounds per quart more or less depending on a few things like the density of the oil, temperature, etc but certainly not 4 pounds per quart.
