What did the Sadducees wear?

Interestingly in Luke 16:19 Jesus gives us a startling clue saying the rich man was dressed in purple and fine linen,when we know for a fact that this is how the Sadducees dressed. This is the Priestly Garments as in Exodus 28:8

Its skillfully woven waistband is to be like it--of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen. Exodus 28:8

so, this is the first clue in this puzzle that this rich man was a Sadducee. This was not a descriptive title as in the Good Samaritan Parable.
