What is the difference between the Caribbean islands and the Bahamas?

Caribbean Islands are island countries located in the Caribbean Sea. The Bahamas one country located in the Atlantic Ocean. The Bahamas as a country is made up of 700 islands and though it is considered an active member in the Caribbean Community, it is not a part of the Caribbean.
