What is a compulsive Shopper?

Compulsive shopping is believed to affect up to 6% of the US population, according to a 2006 study out of Stanford University. That study also found that shopping addiction appears to affect women and men nearly equally. It basically means that a person cannot control their shopping even if it would have serious negative consequences.
