How do I know if my red eared slider female turtle is mating with my male and how do I know she is pregnant..Also can they lay there eggs in water and where should she lay her eggs if shes pregnant?

well the male will do the mating ritual by flickering his claws around her face if she accepts she will sink to the bottom of the water where they will mate if not she will become aggressive and may attack.the only process i found to check if theyre pregnant is to put your finger in the cavity where she hides her legs,you could gently feel the eggs.it is un healthy for your turtle to lay her eggs in water and should not be done.turtles like all reptiles lay there eggs in land,she diggs her own hole in the dirt that's where she will deposit the eggs,the hole could take a few weeks to borrow.
