Where is the fuel pump on a 2000 ford focus?

According to a Hyundai tech bulletin issued Jan 2006, service manuals were published wrong. They show the fuel filter above the tank. It is actually integrated with the fuel pump in the the tank. The pump can be accessed rather easily through the access panel below the back seat. The filter is in the pump mechanism that is lifted out. I have done this, but have not disassembled the pump. I was given the wrong filter by the auto parts store and have seen improper listings for filters online as well.
