Because aloe vera produces flowers it is part of the phylum angiOSperm.

Just a fun fact: "kingdom phylum class order family genus species" is an oversimplification of the relationships of life to each other and the nomenclature is always changing. More interesting and accurate (although messier) is just to look at the tree of life's relationships.
