How do you restore a small cursor to normal size in Microsoft Word?

This is a well-known bug in MS Word, where the cursor loses its link to the internal page view settings.

Simply zoom the document view using the toolbar to 500%, then zoom back to whatever you want your view to be, and you'll find the cursor's back to normal.
