How do you type the rate symbol on a computer keyboard?

Press and hold SHIFT key on your keyboard and then press the number 2 key on your keyboard

(Note:- Do not press the number key from your numpad on the right of your keyboard. Press the number key which is above all the alphabets. To type more special characters you can press and hold shift key and then press corresponding keys like *, !, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, () _ + |. These special characters are from left to right direction below the function keys (F1-F12) and they are combined with the numbers too.
