Why do countries want to develop?

A county would want to be more developed because they would have more entertainment ,service , facilities ,education ,job , house and hotels.This would attract many tourists and the tourists may want to have holidays there and be spending money there making that country even more richer .Some people may find it a very good place to stay keeping in mind education ,jobs and houses and may want settle there and to open up there own businesses and that would make that country more developed and more rich.
