How many years has the Halloween Spirit store been open?

Spirit the seasonal Halloween store, first opened in 1983. Since then, Spirit has grown and expanded from 63 locations to over 900 for the 2011 season. Spirit Halloween Superstores are located in 48 states and in Canada. Typical stores open around Labor Day weekend and close in early November.
