Actuall god's? or just "idols" that people claimed as gods? there is only one "God"...Yahweh

There are dozens of different gods- despite what the previous respondant would have you believe. Monotheism was invented in around 1300bce by a Pharoah named Akhenaton, as a political measure.

Yahweh, or jehovah, as some other traditions would have it, is a semitic sky god, whose origins can be traced back to Moses- who elevated Yahweh above all others as a means of keeping an otherwise disparate tribal group united.

To suggest that is the one and only deity is insulting in the extreme to followers of any other tradition.
