Example of plain folks appeal

The plain folks appeal is used in Propaganda writing. It is used as an attempt to persuade readers to think or do something because the mass of ordinary people think or do it.

Ex. I am just a poor country boy, so you can trust me.

Ex. I am just a humble citizen of this state who wants to make a difference.

You're trying to be "of the audience". You're trying to persuade the audience in a way so they will trust you.
