Often called a Liberty nickel or a V nickel, this design is unusual in that the denomination is shown in Roman numerals instead of with a 5 or the Word FIVE.

1910 is one of the more common years for Liberty nickels. Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 03/2010:

Very worn condition - $3

Moderately worn - $5

Slightly worn - $10

Almost no wear - $49

Uncirculated - $71 to $1,560 depending on quality

1910 Liberty Head nickels are common, most have retail values of $1.00-$3.00
