How was voodoo discovered?

a long time ago there was three people stuck in the forest and they were travalin for days and days then they came to a cave and they went in and they found lots of dolls with names on them and they found a doll that had there name they did not like doll of them so they destroyed it and they died then many years after police found the dolls and the dead bodys and they named them voodoo dolls
