Acquiring email marketing software is only part of the equation for a successful email marketing campaign. You can have the best software on the market, but it's useless without a solid email database of customers and prospects. It has been my experience that the best email database is the one that you create and maintain. Many of the so-called business email lists that you can purchase are often outdated or inaccurate. I recommend building your own email customer and prospect list, make sure your email is professional and has a call to action. Test several different messages and continue to use the ones that are most effective (most clicks through to your website and hopefully subsequent purchases.)
Promoting your business via email is a cost-effective method to use. Offering the customer something for trying your product is one of the best ways of building a strong brand in the marketplace.
