Can a veterinarian have any piercings or tattoos?

As with any job (and it sucks, I know) any visible tattoos or unconventional piercings (anything other than ear) can hurt your chances at being hired. But if your asking about any problems you may have with healing or infection as long as your extremely careful not to allow any dirt or bodily fluids from the animal into the piercing or tattoo it should heal just fine.
