When did Dolce and Gabana open up for business?

The Dolce and Gabbana fashion brand unofficially began with the meeting of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in 1980. The name was first given to their designer consulting firm in 1982, but it wasn't until 1985 that the duo officially launched their first collection as part of that October's Milan Fashion Week.
