What country financed DeVaca?

Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca, commonly known as DeVaca, was financed by Spain for his expedition to the New World. He was part of a Spanish expedition led by Pánfilo de Narváez in 1527, which aimed to explore and conquer parts of present-day Florida and the Gulf Coast.
