What is the difference between faith as a fruit of the spirit and as a gift of the holy spirit?

Faith is a gift of the Spirit and not a fruit of the Spirit.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
