What do you have to do to maintaine your job as a firefighter?

Firefighters need to stay fit/be in shape as well as keep all their training up-to-date. Some certifications that the Fire Department/Company require must be updated as much as every year, while some can last up to 10 years. Regardless of how long you have to update the certification, you will need to stay up-to-date on new NFPA laws, if they apply to where you work, as well as improvements to older training courses.
