No. Not only will it NOT work, but Alcoholic Beverages can be fatal to dogs, no amount of alcoholic beverage is safe… yes; even "cheap" beer should be off limits.

Instead, be a responsible pet owner and go to your Vet with a fecal sample to determine the type of parasite, purchase the prescribed dewormer, and buy Frontline to protect your guy from fleas/ticks.

NOTE: It has been proven time and time again that chewing tobacco also does not work. Tobacco can seriously make your dog ill and has been linked to many deaths.

UPDATE: NOTE: PLEASE, please, do NOT feed your pets garlic! Garlic is TOXIC to dogs and cats!!!Garlic is part of the onion family (alliaceae) along with leeks and shallots. There is ample research available which indicates onions can be very harmful (as bad as chocolate! Can cause renal failure and amenia!), if not deadly, to our pets.

In the last five years, more and more toxicity studies are being conducted on garlic and all seem to indicate that it, too, can pose serious health risks when fed to cats and dogs and, like onions, can be fatal.

Since the toxic amount is unknown, it is recommended not to add it to your pet's food. These ingredients can cause Heinz body anemia, resulting in a breakdown of the red blood cells and anemia.

People... PLEASE be educated or do a little research before answering!!! Not to be harsh, but your answers could seriously put the life of this dog in jeopardy!
