What does it mean if the oil light comes on in your 1991 Honda accord EX but theres about five quarts of motor oil in it?

Low oil pressure or a defective oil sending unit. Assume low oil pressure and do not drive this car until you have this looked at, and the oil pressure is checked. If it is a 4 cylinder then it has too much oil in it. The correct amount is 4.5 Qts.
