Who is Fang in Maximum Ride?

Fang is a character that has been with Max since they were kids and growing up in dog cages. We later find out around the book "The Final Warning" that he is attracted to Max. He leaves Max in "Fang" to start his own gang "Fang's Gang" because Angel says that Fang will be the first to die, and he doesn't want to endanger Max. He then comes back for Max after his love -Maya- (Max's clone) dies, abandoning his gang. In the end of "Nevermore" Max chooses him over Dylan and they "Die" in each other's arms.
