Why did Belle Boyd go to prison?

Probably on Espionage charges, or perhaps counterfeiting, as Confederate Money was invalid outside the CSA< and even there was treated with suspicion ( and I don"t care if the money"s no Good)- as the Dixie oriented song by Joan Baez correctly states.
