As far as I know, a very important requirement is that both parents has to be an American Citizens, because of the divided loyalty.

Our recent President's late father was born in Kenya (you can check President's Long Birth Certificate), and he was the British Citizen, when our President was born.

Any more thoughts on that matter?

The ONLY Constitutional requirements to be President of the US are:

1. at least 35 years of age

2. a natural-born US citizen (defined as being a citizen at birth either by being born on US soil or born to at least one parent who was a US citizen at the birth of the candidate / both parents DO NOTneed to be US citizens, which is why President Obama is legitimate)

3. A resident of the US for at least 14 years
