Was there a non-African American Peaches in the duo Peaches and Herb?

Presently, the singer Meritxell Negre, a native of Barcelona Spain holds the title of "Peaches." She is the first non-African American Peaches, 6th Peaches to dates, and only the 3rd official Peaches recording artist. She co-recorded Peaches & Herb's latest CD, Colors of Love.
