Are Do-not-resuscitate orders legal binding

DNR orders are recognized in all states and will be incorporated into a patient's medical chart if requested.

Added: CAUTION: If you are under the care of a hospital operated by a religious institution your DNR order may not be honored. Such institutions are immune from lawsuit or legal action when disregarding such orders.
