What is the least populated continent?

The least populated of the major continents (North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa and Antarctica) is Antarctica, which has no permanent human population. The continent does have a population of approximately 5,000 researchers who live on research stations scattered throughout the continent.
