Who convinced Hercules to do hard work in life?

Oh, dude, it was totally Hera, Hercules' stepmom. She was like, "Hey, Herc, you gotta do some hard labor to make up for that whole killing-your-family thing." Classic Hera, always stirring up drama. So yeah, she convinced him to do all those crazy tasks like cleaning the Augean stables and stuff. Life of a demigod, am I right?
