How can you use 'prompting with' in a sentence?

The combination "prompting with" makes an awkward construction when side by side in a sentence. It should be have who or what has been "prompted".

Judges caught a parent at the spelling bee prompting a child with lip-spelling the Words.

The police officer noticed the suspect was prompting his girlfriend with the answers she should give.

If possible, eliminate the phrase "prompting with" and use "prompted" or "prompting" instead.

The parent prompted his child.
