The womens' roles in World War 2 were as follows:

  1. Serve as nurses, clerks, radar observers and do other tasks necessary in the Armed Forces.
  2. Serve as Red Cross Workers.
  3. Do support work for the Red Cross and other auxiliary associations.
  4. Work in the war plants making the ships, planes, armament, ammo, medical supplies, boats, and packaging food for the forces.
  5. Do anything to help the war front.
  6. Take care of evacuees in England.
  7. Do child care for the war plant workers and other women who had to run their husband's businesses.
  8. Plant gardens, cooperate with rationing programs and recycle products for the war effort.
  9. Send billions of letters to those in the forces and they did too.
  10. Entertainers entertained the troops in the USO.
