The womens' roles in World War 2 were as follows:
- Serve as nurses, clerks, radar observers and do other tasks necessary in the Armed Forces.
- Serve as Red Cross Workers.
- Do support work for the Red Cross and other auxiliary associations.
- Work in the war plants making the ships, planes, armament, ammo, medical supplies, boats, and packaging food for the forces.
- Do anything to help the war front.
- Take care of evacuees in England.
- Do child care for the war plant workers and other women who had to run their husband's businesses.
- Plant gardens, cooperate with rationing programs and recycle products for the war effort.
- Send billions of letters to those in the forces and they did too.
- Entertainers entertained the troops in the USO.
