How do you know if your shunt needs to be replaced. What are the symptoms?

There are many different shunts used for different things; but if a shunt is used for draining CSF, then there are a few symptoms to look for. These can range from

- Headaches

- Irritability

- Swelling of the head

- vomiting

- loss of memory and vision

- slurred speech
