What does E service mean?

Mercedes E service is due at 40,000 miles. What needs to be done is based on what is required at that time and that depends upon what has been done and what has not. In Mercedes, all service codes can be reviewed in the dash board. Here is how you can see them:

Close the door

Put key in and turn it to position 2

Page up or down till you see outside temperature

Turn key to position 1

Push odometer reset 3 times quickly

You should now see battery volts displayed

Use page up or down to get to different service menus

Now call your mechanic or the dealer and find out what it would take to do those services.
