What damage does a glacier do?

Actually they cut valleys, not "craters", and leave various moraine forms. They do not "damage" the Earth, they are a natural, landscape-developing mechanism.

Certain rare glacial events can damage man-made things like roads, and they are hazardous to wander onto without proper precautions - but you can't blame the glaciers.
