Yes, there are, If you are asked for money for a job, it is a scam. No legitimate company needs money to offer a legitimate job.

Legitimate jobs:

Home-based agents or Customer Service Reps - working out of your home taking customer service calls.

Virtual assistants - assist other people in various assignments.

Freelance jobs - writing, programming, web design

Mystery Shopping & Merchandising

Get Paid to Write or Edit

Virtual Customer Service

Temporary (or Temp) Services

There are many different online money making opportunities out there that do not require any money down, only work put in. All of the work is done from your home and it doesn't require silly tasks like stuffing envelopes or mailing packages out to people.

If you can write, transcribe, take surveys, make videos, answer questions (like I'm doing on here, although this isn't for pay), and things of the sort, then you can earn cash. You make a site of your own and use ads like google Adsense to earn income.

There are reputable companies that you'd apply at in the usual way, not online through ads that offer fabulous amounts of money for little to no work.

Legitimate home based online jobs are from companies that hire experienced and skilled workers that fill out an application for employment and submit a resume. Expect a home based job process like any traditional job you apply for. An employer hires workers paying a salary. Any individual or company asking for fees promising work is not legitimate.
