How many people die of alcohol related deaths in Canada?

The last person to answer this simply replied "very few."

In the United States alone, an estimated 79,000 people die from excessive alcohol use each year (not counting an additional 16-17,000 deaths from alcohol-related car accidents). However, virtually none of these deaths result from alcohol poisoning.
