What move do make after you tell someone you have a crush on them?

I think you shouldn't just go up to your crush and tell them. First you get to now him/her. Be friend with that person but don't do alot of buddy things or they just might like as a friend. Then after you tell your crush ask them how do you feel if they say the same way you should ask them out or if they say no I guess just say ok I understand and if you want to be friends and if you don't want to be their friend just walk away but make tham think you are mad.
