If you miss your period for more than a week are you pregnant?

That depends on a couple of factors: are you periods normally very regular, or do they vary slightly month-to-month? Also, when did you last have unprotected sex? A single week may mean absolutely nothing. If, however, you did have unprotected sex more than a week ago (hcg hormone levels are usually undetectable the first week or so of pregnancy) and you're concerned, go ahead and pick up a test. It's better to get the ones with more than one test so that you can try again days or even a week later if you end up with a negative result. It's rare to end up with a false positive. Good luck!
