What ancient people settled along the mediterranean coast?

Several ancient peoples settled along the Mediterranean coast, including the Phoenicians, who were known for their seafaring and trade; the Greeks, who established city-states and colonies; and the Romans, who created a vast empire encompassing much of the Mediterranean region.
