Are bats related to rats in any way?

Bats and Rats are related in many ways. One way is how their faces are constructed. They both have long snouts and pointy ears. Another reason is the Word bat in another language means mouse. Bats are also called flying rodents or flying mice. The difference is that bats have wings unlike rats.
