How much is the cost of admission to the metropolitan museum of art?

Technically, there is no admission fee. There is a "suggested donation" of $20. "Suggested donation" means you pay whatever you can afford. If you can only afford a few dollars per person, then that's fine.

Admission is completely free for children under 12.
