How do you get a Book and Quill in Minecraft?

1. Find sugar cane.

2. In the crafting bench, put it in like this:

0= Nothing

1= Sugar cane

3. It will make paper. You can make books from alpha 1.0.11 and book and quill from the recent update, 1.3.

Also, you will need to make books, it's the same deal as sugar cane, just that it needs leather.

4: At that point, just put a feather (Dropped by chicken) And a ink sac (Dropped by squid)

5: Congratulations, you can now write in a book.

6: You can also title it.
