Is silica gel harmful to animals?

Silica Gel is mainly used to package products. While it does say not to eat it, it will no do any actual damage. Silica Gel is not toxic, the reason it is labeled "Do Not Eat" is because it is a choking hazard. Silica Gel is safe to be packaged with food, but since it is not food, it should not be eaten.
