In what country did the depression take place in the 1930s?

The Great Depression was not too bad in some countries, but it was very bad in others, particularly in the United States and other Western countries. At the peak of it in 1933, 25 percent of all workers and 37 percent of all nonfarm workers were completely out of work. Some people starved and others travelled looking for work but many didn't find it.
