You have an old coin dated 1790 it appears to be either brass or bronze it has a V with an O on the right slant and a C on the left slant with a star above the V on one side and the date below the V.?

No, I don't, but it seems to me that you have a skilling from the old Dutch East India Company. These are pretty rare because of its age, but no so much because they were minted in the billions to be traded in both Europe and Asia.
