What personal documents and endorsements are you required to have on your person before you fly solo?

To fly solo, you need to have, on your person, each of the following documents:

A student pilot certificate with a type-specific solo endorsement

Your logbook with a type-specific solo endorsement given in the past 90 days A government-issued photo ID

A valid 3rd class medical certificate.
