What did Lou Gehrig's sisters die from?

Lou Gehrig's sisters, both of whom were named after their father, died from different health issues. His sister, Olga, passed away from complications related to tuberculosis in 1941. His other sister, who was often referred to as "the other sister," died from cancer in 1950. Their deaths, along with Gehrig's own battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), deeply affected him and his family.
