Can you take Cass's hat off in Fallout New Vegas?

Give Cass or Veronica first "Ballcap with Glasses" and then some type of eyewear. They will no longer be wearing their hat or hood but will equip the chosen glasses. They will revert to their default headwear if you load a previous save, so you will have to re-do the glitch by removing and readding the head and eyewear.
